CDG Invest launches the “Generation Entrepreneurs” program

It is a program of support and financing of experienced entrepreneurs in the industrial and service sectors.

This program targets start-up or seed projects with less than five years of activity, says CDG Invest, the investment branch of the Caisse de dépôt et de gestion (CDG), in a release.

These projects must be led by founders with proven experience in the industrial and service sectors. They must also be able to attract key partners.

Specifically, the program offers selected entrepreneurs equity and quasi-equity financing of up to 20 million dirhams, in return for a minority position in the round table.

Additional financing in bank debt without personal guarantee of the founder(s) will be sought on a case by case basis with the assistance of CDG Invest. State support instruments will also be sought with the assistance of CDG Invest.

The program also provides for strategic and operational support through the provision of business experts. The latter will assist the founder(s) from the pre-selection phase to strengthen their project, and then throughout the investment cycle on strategic and operational issues.

CDG Invest has provided a portal for interested parties to apply online. The application period runs from March 22 to April 29, 2022.
